Don Thompson, CEO of McDonald's Corp was charged by a 9 year girl in McDonald's annual shareholder meeting Thursday in Oak Brook, Ill., the company's headquarters.
Hannah Robertson, 9 attended the meeting with her mom on Thursday said"I don't think it is fair when big companies tries to play trick with kids into eating food that isn't good for them by using toys and cartoon characters.She requested saying It would be nice if you stopped trying to trick kids into wanting to eat your food all the time.
She also says if parents haven't taught their kids about healthy eating then the kids probably believe that junk food is good for them because it might taste good.
Kia,Hannah's mom also spoke in the meeting saying "As a corporation you might not "have to" think about the effects of your marketing,but as parents and grandparents there must be a part of you that knows it's just not right.
Don in the meeting said Thanks to Hannah and told that McDonald's do not sell junk food ,we also sell foods like fruits and vegetables including apples in salads for $1 and its hoping to sell even more.
